Overview

Konosuke, the chairman of a securities firm, committed suicide. His wife, Tomoyo, had conspired with her husband's secretary, Mimura, to steal a vase—a treasure from the Russian Romanov dynasty worth hundreds of millions—an act that drove the company to bankruptcy and pushed Konosuke to take his own life.
