Overview

It was a season of spectacular scorelines and unforgettable victories. Every Liverpool FC fan will want to re-live the euphoria of the 7-0 thrashing of Manchester United, the biggest-ever victory against their fiercest rivals. The Reds also put six past Leeds and hit nine against AFC Bournemouth, equalling the Premier League all-time record. While the seven goals scored against Rangers in Glasgow included a six-minute hat-trick by Mohamed Salah, the quickest-ever in the Champions League. Marvellous, magical Mo once again passed the 30-goal mark, as a new dynamic strike force began to take shape, with Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo joining Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz to give Jürgen Klopp mouthwatering options for seasons to come. But, as a new era dawned, it was time to bid farewell to loyal servants. Most notably, Bobby Firmino, who signed off at Anfield in style after eight seasons of exemplary service, dazzling entertainment and over a century of goals.
