The story: In Paris, a heated argument between Leontine and her father causes Leontine to pack her bags and travel to Nevele. Although her three uncles welcome her with open arms, they cannot prevent Aunt Cordula from having her way. Their Parisian niece can stay in Nevele if she works for room and board. In Nevele, Leontine gets to know the villagers and their daily activities. The often narrow-minded ideas of the rural population are at odds with the rather frivolous mindset of the Parisian twenty-something. The clash of the two worlds provides countless amusing moments in the film. When Cupid visits the Goetgebuer children's farm and sets his sights on Aunt Cordula, hilarious scenes ensue.
