He searches for her and finds her at the home of Lola, a prostitute who has taken the unfortunate girl in. Their plans to claim their happiness are overturned once and for all when Lola's protectors rape Maria, who dies shortly afterwards in hospital. Christos takes his own life and Lola kills the man responsible for the girl's death.
