The players are also fighting a battle against homophobic attitudes on the sports field. With a lot of self-irony and humor, the players make this an entertaining documentary series. We follow the boys in matches against heterosexual teams, take part in doctor visits, gay tournaments, EuroPride in Oslo, football matches, ski races, and celebrations of Norway's National Day. The boys also travel to their home villages where they meet their parents and siblings. One of the players gets his shooting arm destroyed in a car accident.
