Plot summary: The film tells the story of a man who organizes the people to fight against the occupying forces. In the final years of the Ottoman Empire, the pashas in Anatolia oppress the people. With the sultan's decree, he provides unlimited assistance to the general and his soldiers. The general demands all of the villagers' crops and gold. He and his soldiers begin to exploit the people. Those who resist are thrown into prison and executed. Reşo and his brother Veysel, who are from the local community, refuse to give up all of their crops. They decide to organize the people against the pasha and the general.
