The wormhole that occurred originated from an unidentified probe from outer space. Rosman's father, Tan Sri Ismail, had taken the probe and hidden it. In fact, the probe is one of thousands of probes programmed to open the largest stargate and absorb solar energy to be transmitted back to another universe.
