On the speaker's platform, Roosevelt is cheered by the crowd. Among the notables behind him on the platform are Cardinal Gibbons, a man who appears to be Governor Emerson C. Harrington of Maryland, Mrs. Thomas J. Preston, who was the wife of former President Grover Cleveland, and her husband, Dr. Thomas J. Preston, with the dark mustache. Roosevelt addresses the crowd.
