Biography
Mark Tewksbury is a Canadian former competitive swimmer, broadcaster, author and advocate. He represented Canada at the 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympics, winning gold in the 100-metre backstroke at Barcelona in 1992, along with silver and bronze medals during his Olympic career. After retiring from swimming, he became a public speaker and television personality, serving as the original Canadian narrator and presenter of How It’s Made. Tewksbury has also been active in LGBTQ+ advocacy, Olympic reform and Canadian sport leadership.
