What happens in "Doobie Brothers": One of America's most popular bands in the 1970s, the Doobie Brothers personified good times and brotherhood. They took it to the streets with 11 gold albums (eight of which were in the Top 5 on the charts), rocked with a dozen top ten singles (two of which hit #1) and won 4 Grammy awards. However, as the 70's came to a close, the good times and the brotherhood got left behind and innocuous "doobie" smoking turned to harder drugs that nearly crushed the band. They finally broke up in 1982, only to reunite in the late 80's to tour and continue to spread their trademark feel good message of their earlier music.
