What happens in "Pilot": The son of PD Frank Taylor is abducted and never found. Two years later, Frank's marriage to his wife Jessica has broken down and they are now divorced. Following his recovery, he learns that he can receive messages from beyond the grave, from kind spirits who wish to help him solve his cases.
