What happens in "Under Fire / The Investigation": A man reports that his neighbor might be a terrorist. Ardenzi instead discovers an illegal trade in pornographic material. Manrico accompanies Livia and Nina to do some shopping. As they leave the store, the three are ambushed. At the police station everyone is shocked by the attack and Scalise and Ardenzi are accused of having acted lightly. At the hospital one of the attackers enters where Manrico is hospitalized with the intention of killing him, but Ardenzi intervenes.
