Episode 50 recap: As Ichigo stands in disbelief that Masaya is Deep Blue, Pie explains why they have been waiting for him. Ichigo tries to reach Masaya, showing him the bell collar, but it is useless. Unable to fight him, the other Mew Mews rush to protect Ichigo as the alien attacks her, eventually being wounded enough that they are forced back into their human forms. When Deep Blue uses his sword to destroy Tokyo, Ichigo finally realizes he is not Masaya anymore and attacks, but he is too strong. Ryou arrives and protects her from his attack, then tells her that everything is just as the Earth wanted it to be, that the planet chose her and the other Mew Mews to protect it. Her determination renewed, the final battle begins.
