What happens in "The Most Delicate Instrument": After the Tiger's Claw enters a binary star system, it is attacked by two Kilrathi fighters that have been caught in an astroflare coming from the binary star. Four fighters are send to neutralise the threat but in doing so become mentally unbalanced from stellar phenomena. The pilots begin to exhibit erratic behaviour and start to believe that the Tiger's Claw is a Kilrathi Carrier.
