About the series: María Dolores is a beautiful woman dating Arturo. He is an unscrupulous man who takes advantage of María's kindness to deceive her; he eventually abandons her to marry another woman. Some time later, Arturo attempts to seduce María. She tries to resist, and a struggle ensues during which Arturo dies. María is found guilty of his death and imprisoned. While in jail, she vows never to trust—let alone get involved with—a man again.
