Episode 10 recap: Robbi, Tobbi und Polly McMouse fliehen vor den Rüstungen, die immer näher kommen. Da läßt Tobbi einfach die Erbsen zu Boden fallen, so dass die leeren Blechkameraden übereinander purzeln. Auf einem Turm der Burg beobachten die Gefährten, wie mehrere Vögel verschiedene Gegenstände aus Silber und Messing in einen Schacht fallen lassen. Polly ist zu neugierig und fällt hinein, Robbi und Tobbi folgen ihr. Über eine Rutsche geht es in die "Hexenküche" des Zaubergrafen Joshua. Der betreibt dort eine Maschine, mit der er das von den Vögeln (die er mit einer Flöte abgerichtet hat) gestohlene Metall in Gold verwandeln will. Robbi und Tobbi erkennen gleich, dass diese Maschine überhaupt nicht funktioniert, und sagen das dem angeblichen Grafen auf den Kopf zu. Ein echter Zauberer ist er auch nicht - als Robbi ihm den Zauberstab wegnimmt und zerbricht (es ist nur die Flöte), winselt der Bursche um Gnade. Er hat Glück: Plötzlich fängt die Goldmaschine Feuer, so dass Robbi und Tobbi abgelenkt sind. Während die beiden das Feuer löschen, sucht der Graf das Weite.
